When you started talking about parties the first thing you think is about young people. What do you think about it? do you think it´s OK that young people only think in parties. Our generation is based on parties, alcohol,, etc. Old people think that children should not go to parties because they think that is bad and sometimes you can get some drugs. Do you think all young people do that? I think that young people like us need to give them some new aspects of the parties.We think parties are not always bad, We think parties are bad when you do them the way you want, but sometimes is no the correct way.

I believe that parties are not the problem that's behind drug addiction. These addictions come from lifestyles and peer pressure as well, most people is being influenced by other environments other than parties, such as friends, the place you live, and even family members. Parties do have an influece on drug abuse, but this factor is not the only one affecting a person´s decision on experiencing with these substances. As long as we are educated on the subject and its side effects on our health, we can make an appropriate decision on whether using drugs or not.
ReplyDeleteI honestly dont think parties are to blame for drug use among teenagers. I think teenagers mostly try drugs because of curiosity or peer pressure, not because someone at a random party had drugs and the kid was like "OH COOL! COCAINE!" Stopping kids from partying is not the answer, the more authority you try to impose on a teenager the more this person will want to rebel. Personally, my parents never didnt let me go somewhere because there could be drugs or whatever, they trusted my judgement and hoped for the best. Honestly, I think giving kids the information they need about drugs and their consequences is the best thing you can do. Locking them up will only make them more curious, and thats not just for drugs; other things (such as sex) fall into that category as well. ReplyDeleteI don´t think that parties are bad, but things could go wrong when young people don´t know how to react to peer pressure. The important thing to keep in mind is that you are the only one that can take control of your life, so it is very important to keep things under control. It is very easy to fall into an addiction, and it is very hard to get out. Party and have a good time but keep things under perspective!
ReplyDeleteThe meaning of a party is to have a good time, the alcohol, drugs and parties are not that new, but the young people are vulnerable to that. If the love, care and advices of the parents towards the kids are right, the kids would know where to hang around and choose their friends as well. The life of the young people is exciting, there is no reason to block their experiences, if the parents do it, the kids will block them back.
ReplyDeleteI think parties are the celebration of life and you share those moments with people you love and wont induce you to do anything that could hurt you,we have to put limits in life otherwise we lose something precious in a moment of insanity...
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how you were raised. It is as simple as that.
ReplyDeleteyou know what's good for you and what's not, then you'll know how to behave. And I mean, parents should realize that! If they did a good job raising you, they'll have nothing to worry about.
In my opinion drug and alcohol abuse are just not necessarily connected to parties. ok, the environment there could be suitable for that, but young people must know when to say NO and to know themselves and their limits.
ReplyDeleteI think parties are way of getting out of a routine... but everything with measure if we go over the limit drnking to much or in a young age we can get not only deseases but put in jeopardy our own life, when we are young sometimes we don't see the problem and we think that "if everybody is doing it why can't I" but life goes beyond. There are now too many risks. Parting is good putting boundaries and accepting that sometimes our parents, old an all, they know better, and they want what's best for us.
ReplyDeleteI think parties are the coolest. They are a celebration of joy, jubilation and freedom of spirit. Let the kids express themselves.
ReplyDeleteLet them experience with alcohol, cigarettes and other stuff that can be present on a party; then they'll choose what's better for themselves.

Hi, well i personally dont think that every adult, or old people as you say, are against the parties, they just think in a more worried way about all the dangers and things that can happen specially in such country as Guatemala, you know: violence, car accidents, the police, guns, kidnapings etc. so at the end if you know what are you doing and have some confidence with your parents every thing should be fine, I personally do some drugs, and i love to party! specially electronic and psychedelic music so let me tell you thats an environment that you can get drugs easily... but i also have a work and study every day and believe me i party a lot! but i also have equilibrium in my life you need to know when is the right time to party and to study, work, exercise your body, mind and being with your family. well i think that teenagers are old enough to decide whether to take drugs or not to, so everybody can party the way they want and they can have fun without taking drugs.
I personally think that you don't need to go to a party to realize the pain and trouble that drugs bring to someone's life, you can see it in your own house and it's really up to you to make up your mind and choose a life without drugs. I don't have any problem when someone do drugs just for curiosity or when they have it "under control", but I hate when people make drugs the center of their life, because it affects not only them but their environment and the people who cares about them. In conclusion, no, I don't think that parties are a specific reason for drugs abuse, believe me your big brother can offer you some a random day while your watching tv.

I think that is good really good when you go to a party because you go to have a great moment with your friends jajaj
ReplyDeleteI think that the parties can go the way young people want. They can decide to have a lot of fun in a non-alcohol and non-drugs way, or they could just smoke and drink all they can and still have fun. But the difference between this two kinds of fun is that one brings much more consequences than the other. I think that it must be a good reason why it is prohibit for young people to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes, marijuana, etc. Well those stuff reduce your physical and mental health. Like saying that you become more stupid and lazy. Also, their decisions may be based on what they had watched and learned in their homes. So in conclusion, all parties can be good for some people and bad for others based on what they chose.
ReplyDeleteLike here says. You make the party the way you want! The people that think that parties are only places to consume/sell drug are wrong, because not all the teenagers consume it. Parties are for all people of ANY age! But if you go to places were teenagers consume drugs you have the risk to consume it. Isn't good that the people generalizes all the teenagers as drugers or alcohol addictive. There's always exceptions because not all the teenagers are STUPID! every teenager has a different way of thingking.
ReplyDeleteI think the parties are good and in these years is a way of life of youth, many think so but there are other ways to have fun and hang out and not just parties or just getting high, drinking, smoking etc but everyone decide what makes and everyone knows what is good and what is bad and in my opinion while you know are amazing parties behave

ReplyDeleteOk, parties should be a time to share, meet and just had a good social recreation, but when people use parties to do their hidden activities, there's the problem. The older people may not go to parties to much like youngs, and they might think that parties are a direct way to drugs. In our times, we know that there's more than one person that take drugs to those activities,(from alcohol and tobacco to illegal drugs)and the older people are way afraid of that. They (older people) have to recognize if a young is enough mature to decide between 2 things.
ReplyDeleteParty all the time is not good, you must learn about other activities. Those hard-core party people think they are the 'way', well not, they don't know about the physical damage they're getting.

ReplyDeleteIn my experience, parties gather all sorts of people, and there are several different type of parties as well. Sure, there are drugs at some parties, but there are also drugs at all other social gatherings anyways (sports, school, you name it)
ReplyDeleteBut going to parties doesn't necessarily means you are into drugs. I mean, the decision of being drug free is more of a personal thing. And it is not determined by your environment.
I like to see this as a discussion topic. I remember having multiple discussions with my parents about this as a kid.
My advice: go to as many parties as you can, have fun in life, but make sure you do so responsibly. Hey, you only live once.

well the problems in all parties is because the drugs and alcohol but, the people have self-control in their life, most of the young people take the parties the wrong way but is something that we can not change, is responsability of parents that not happen in the life of his son, and maybe the young people could be more responsability in the future and in the parties too, and make th world a better place
